Description

The Dynamic Friction Company Rear Hi-Carbon Alloy GEOMET® Coated Brake Rotor is engineered to match and often exceed original equipment performance for modern Land Rover applications. As OEM braking technology continues to evolve, Dynamic Friction Company designs rotors that closely replicate the latest OE specifications while improving durability, consistency, and corrosion resistance.

Each rotor is engineered with the original equipment vane configuration, including OE split-core technology, to ensure maximum heat dissipation and stable braking performance. All rotor cores are dipped in a specially formulated coating that creates a smoother internal vane surface. This smoother finish improves airflow, reduces turbulence, and minimizes machining requirements during the balancing process.

Following the coating process, each casting is precision-machined in state-of-the-art facilities to some of the tightest tolerances in the industry. Dynamic Friction Company guarantees disc thickness variation of no more than 0.010 mm and maximum lateral runout of 0.050 mm. In practice, many rotors achieve as little as 0.007 mm DTV and 0.025 mm lateral runout. Rotors are then fine-turned to a maximum surface finish of 1.6 RMS, improving pad contact and accelerating initial brake pad break-in.

After machining, every rotor undergoes a 100% electronic inspection that measures over 20 critical attributes to ensure compliance with OE specifications. This rigorous inspection process ensures consistent quality, vibration-free braking, and long-term reliability. When paired with application-specific DFC brake pads, these rotors deliver excellent braking performance immediately after installation.

A genuine GEOMET® coating is applied across the entire rotor to provide superior corrosion protection. This environmentally friendly coating is processed dry and shipped ready to install with no cleaning or preparation required. During normal braking, the GEOMET® finish is safely and evenly removed by the friction material without causing harm to pads or braking components. By eliminating the need to clean oil-coated rotors, installation time is reduced and labor costs are minimized.

Manufactured using high-carbon iron formulations that include molybdenum, chromium, and carbon, these rotors offer improved noise dampening, increased strength, enhanced thermal conductivity, and greater durability compared to standard brake discs. The high-carbon casting design improves stability under heavy braking and helps maintain consistent performance across a wide range of driving conditions.
