The aFe POWER Momentum GT Cold Air Intake System with Pro DRY S Filter is engineered to deliver measurable performance gains, superior filtration, and long-term reliability for 2007–2008 GM gas trucks and SUVs equipped with V8 engines and an electric fan. Designed using advanced CAD modeling and dyno validation, this sealed intake system provides the ideal balance of increased airflow, cooler intake temperatures, and engine protection.
At the core of the Momentum GT system is a one-piece sealed airbox constructed to eliminate hot engine bay air while directing fresh, cool air through an auxiliary air scoop. The integrated clear sight window allows quick filter inspection without disassembly, simplifying routine maintenance.
Performance gains are achieved through a CAD-designed, dyno-tuned roto-molded intake tube, engineered to maximize airflow efficiency while maintaining precise fitment. During testing, this system outflowed the factory intake by 19%, resulting in gains of up to +8 horsepower and +11 lb-ft of torque.
Filtration is handled by a massive 9-inch round Pro DRY S air filter, featuring oil-free, 3-layer progressively finer porosity synthetic media. This design delivers excellent airflow and filtration efficiency without the need for oiling, making it ideal for daily driving and long service intervals. The unique filter-to-housing interface allows for increased filter size while simplifying installation.
