This performance intake system replaces the restrictive factory intake components with dual high-flow inverted cone filters and 3.5” powder-coated aluminum intake pipes, dramatically improving air volume to the turbos. By retaining the factory cold air ducting, heat-isolating lower airbox, and high-flow turbo inlet fittings, the system ensures optimal intake air temperatures and consistent performance under all driving conditions.
A precision-designed upper shroud and heat shield system protects the intake from engine bay heat, helping maintain stable airflow even during aggressive driving. The result is a noticeable increase in horsepower and torque, sharper throttle response, and a deep, aggressive intake sound that truly brings the twin-turbo V6 to life. As boost levels increase, so do the performance gains.
The included Burger Motorsports renewable inverted cone filters offer a substantial upgrade over factory paper filters. Built with integrated velocity stacks, these filters promote smooth, laminar airflow into the intake system, improving efficiency and response. Designed for long-term use, the filters are washable and reusable, lasting the lifetime of the vehicle with simple maintenance every 15,000–20,000 miles.
This intake system has been proven on the BMS development KIA Stinger, which achieved 11.9 seconds at 120 mph in the quarter mile and 148 mph half-mile trap speeds, validating its real-world performance advantages.
Installation is fully bolt-on and can be completed in just minutes using basic tools, with no cutting or permanent modifications required.
