Spool 10-Micron Fuel Filter:

This premium 10-micron fuel filter offers class-leading filtration without introducing any pressure drop on the low-pressure side. Essential for keeping debris out of the high-pressure system, this filter protects both the pumps and injectors, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

Spool Ethanol Content Monitor (Optional):

The included optional ECA kit gives you real-time digital readouts of in-tank ethanol content and fuel temperature through the Spool mobile app. It uses BLE 4.0 (Bluetooth Low Energy) for efficient connectivity while still allowing use of other Bluetooth devices. The system also features a 0-5V analog output for integrating flex-fuel tuning on the M177 platform. All included fuel lines are braided steel with a nylon core, rated 100% E85 compatible.

Tuning Required:

Installation of the FX-170 requires ECU calibration changes to account for the upgraded pump flow characteristics. Proper low-side fuel system support is essential. High-pressure pumps like the FX-170 depend on stable low-pressure fuel delivery to maintain internal lubrication. Starvation due to an inadequate low-pressure setup can cause damage to the pump internals and will void the warranty. Plan your fuel system upgrades carefully when increasing your vehicle’s performance.
