The FX-170 is an upgraded high-pressure fuel pump designed for the BMW B48 engine. This pump features a larger bore size than stock, providing roughly 50% more flow and enhancing the fuel system's performance for higher ethanol concentrations and larger turbos. Fully E85 compatible, the FX-170 is a plug-and-play solution requiring no splicing or cutting. It also operates at 25% higher pressure than stock pumps, allowing injectors to flow more fuel during the same opening time.

Tuning Requirements:

Low Pressure Fuel Pump Upgrade:

Proper low-pressure fueling is critical to maintaining HPFP performance and durability. Inadequate low-pressure fueling can damage the pump piston and bore. To avoid this, ensure the fuel system is appropriately upgraded with low-pressure components.
