Unlock power and efficiency from your BMW N20 turbocharged engine with the Evolution Racewerks Sports Series 4" High Flow 200-Cell Metallic Catted Downpipe. Engineered to eliminate factory exhaust restrictions, this performance downpipe delivers faster turbo spool, improved throttle response, and greater horsepower and torque across the RPM range.
The factory downpipe uses a restrictive 400-cell ceramic catalyst, creating significant backpressure and turbulence. Evolution Racewerks replaces this with a high-flow 200-cell metallic core that withstands higher temperatures, flows significantly better, and provides greater durability. Reduced restriction means quicker turbocharger response, less lag, and more power.
Constructed from 100% 304 stainless steel and TIG-welded in-house, this downpipe features mandrel-bent 4" piping, smooth transitions, CNC-machined V-band flanges, stainless steel O2 bungs, and laser-cut brackets. A factory-style stainless steel flex section is included to maintain proper exhaust movement and protect the turbocharger and manifold from stress, especially on lowered vehicles.
Long transition sections minimize turbulence, allowing gases to move smoothly from the turbocharger outlet to the exhaust system. This improves throttle response, reduces backpressure, and enhances overall drivability and performance. Compatible with both OEM and aftermarket exhaust systems, it includes all hardware needed for installation and is backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
Optional upgrades include high-temperature black ceramic thermal coating, an additional O2 sensor bung for wideband monitoring, and an optional EGT bung for temperature sensors.
