The Evolution Racewerks Cold Side “J” Charge Pipe is a high-strength, cast aluminum upgrade designed for the S55 twin-turbo engine found in the BMW M2 Competition, M3, and M4. The factory plastic “J” pipe is a well-known failure point, especially under increased boost levels—often cracking or blowing apart after tuning. This cast 6061-aluminum replacement solves that issue permanently while improving airflow, throttle response, and reliability.
Unlike cut-and-weld aftermarket pipes, this “J” pipe is fully cast to maintain the ideal factory geometry, ensuring smooth airflow with no turbulence. The pipe features a CNC-machined throttle body flange, converting the weak OEM plastic retaining clip into a stronger metal C-clip connection for secure, leak-free performance.

Each pipe includes beaded ends, premium band clamps, and a silicone hump hose to prevent boost pressure blow-off. Two integrated 1/8” NPT ports allow the easy addition of methanol injection, nitrous, or a vacuum/boost reference port. Optional Type III Hard Black Anodizing provides a stealthy OEM appearance with added durability.
