The CTS MK5 2.0T Direct Fit FMIC Kit is designed as a drop-in replacement for the OEM front mounted intercooler (FMIC). This kit installs easily without any trimming or modification of the bumper. While the OEM FMIC is adequate for stock boost levels, it struggles to maintain optimal charged air temperatures when boost levels are increased via ECU upgrades or chipping. Higher charged air temperatures can lead to boost cut and timing pull, reducing your vehicle's power output.
The CTS Direct Fit FMIC features a high-efficiency bar and plate intercooler core, which helps to reduce pressure drop. Lower pressure drop means your turbo doesn't have to work as hard to achieve a given level of boost. For example, if your turbo makes 30psi of boost pressure in the turbocharger, and your intercooler has a 10psi pressure drop, the boost measured by your ECU would be 20psi (30psi - 10psi). With an efficient FMIC like the CTS Direct Fit FMIC, your turbo operates more efficiently, extending its life expectancy and providing cooler, denser air for more power to the ground.

All CTS Turbo products come with a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of invoice. This warranty excludes abuse, misuse, consequential damages, normal wear and tear, improper installation, or damages resulting from racing. It is applicable only to the original owner. If a product is found defective, CTS Turbo will, at its discretion, offer free repair or replacement. Warranty on other manufacturers' products will be processed under their terms.
