Description
The factory plastic charge pipe on BMW’s N55 engine—as found in models like the 135i F20, M235i, and M2 (F87)—is a well-known weak point. Subject to heat cycles and increased boost pressure, the OEM pipe becomes brittle, eventually cracking or fracturing, leading to boost leaks and reduced performance.
Forge Motorsport solves this common issue with a precision-engineered, CNC-machined aluminum boost pipe designed as a direct replacement for the OEM pipe (Part No. 13717604033). This upgraded pipe not only restores reliability but also enhances throttle response, reduces turbo lag, and supports tuned applications with ease.
Constructed from powder-coated alloy hard piping for maximum strength and longevity, this boost pipe is built to withstand the demands of both spirited street driving and track use. The design incorporates CNC flanges and couplers to ensure perfect fitment and a secure seal with the factory O-ring throttle lock flange. The pipe also retains compatibility with the factory electronic diverter valve for seamless integration.
A key feature of this system is the inclusion of an integrated 1/8” NPT water/methanol injection port—ideal for tuning applications. If unused, the port can be securely plugged with the included hardware.
