How does one improve throttle response while gaining horsepower on their BMW 40i B58 turbocharged engine? Install an air intake, but not just any intake. The Agency Power Short Ram Air Intake. 

The intake completely replaces the OEM air box. The intake kit comes with a new aluminum intake tube (w/ CNC machine MAP sensor mount), perfectly cut heat shield with mounting tabs, and a brand new high flow air filter. The MAP sensor mount has been CNC machined out of 6061 aluminum to retain the factory fitment for the best results. 

The most important part of this product is the high flow air filter. There is an inlet on the end cap that allows for an even larger volume of air to come through of air to enter, as opposed to the standard cone filter. The design immensely improves air filtration while increasing air flow. 

The heat shield is mainly designed to prevent direct hot air from the engine. It will also help secure and seal the product when the hood closes. 

Finally, the air filter includes a beautifully typed "AP" logo on the rubber end cap. In fact, each shield includes the "AP" logo. All parts are neatly finished in a gorgeous matte black coat, but the cylindrical air filter features a blue coating much like the BMW logo.
