What is the FX-350?

The FX-350 is an advanced high-pressure fuel pump designed to significantly enhance fuel delivery and engine performance:

• Enhanced Pressure and Flow: Operating at an impressive 35Mpa, the FX-350 provides a substantial increase in pressure over the FX-200’s 25Mpa. This boost in pressure improves flow rates through the injectors, ensuring a richer fuel supply crucial for high-performance setups. The FX-350 enables your injectors to flow 40% more fuel before reaching their maximum capacity.

• Improved Fuel Atomization: The higher pressure facilitates better atomization of the fuel, resulting in finer droplets that mix more thoroughly with air. This leads to a more complete combustion process, enhancing power output, fuel economy, and reducing emissions.

Why do you need it?

The stock high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) on the M177 platform limits performance when tuning for increased power. The FX-350 addresses this limitation by:

• Increasing Flow Capacity: Adding 90% more flow compared to stock, the FX-350 helps support bigger turbos and higher ethanol concentration blends, raising the fueling limits of your engine and maximizing performance potential.

Spool 10-Micron Filter Unit

Our 10-micron filter unit offers superior filtration with minimal pressure drop on the low side fuel system, safeguarding your high-pressure pump and injectors from debris.

Spool Ethanol Content Monitor

The Spool Ethanol Content Monitor (ECA) provides real-time digital readouts of ethanol content and fuel temperature. The ECA kit includes:

• Mobile App: For monitoring and data analysis.
• BLE 4.0 Technology: Enables connectivity with standard Bluetooth devices.
• 0-5V Filtered Output: For potential flex-fuel implementation.

The fuel lines in the kit are black nylon coated, braided steel PTFE core, and 100% E85 compatible.

Are tune changes required?

Yes, calibration changes are required for the upgraded pumps. It is crucial to apply these changes before starting the car to avoid damage and voiding the warranty. Spool Performance can assist in providing calibration details to your existing tuner or help connect you with experienced tuners.

Low Pressure Fuel Pump Upgrade

Ensure proper low-pressure fueling to protect the high-pressure pumps and injectors in a direct-injection system. Inadequate low-pressure fueling can cause damage and void warranties. Plan your fuel system build with appropriate low-pressure upgrades as necessary.
