Performance & Durability:
The factory G8X M-cars feature a powerful 6-pot caliper system but are limited by OE 380mm drilled discs that underperform when exposed to high heat cycles. MMR’s floating rotor design allows radial and axial expansion, which significantly reduces the risk of warping or cracking commonly seen with single-piece discs.
The custom-engineered grooved friction surface improves initial bite and actively cleans the pad surface during braking, optimizing both response and longevity.
Cooling Advantage:
Each rotor includes 72 curved vanes positioned to draw air from the center outward, enhancing airflow and cooling. This pump-like effect actively dissipates heat, making MMR’s design far superior to non-directional OEM rotors. The rotors are paired in left- and right-hand configurations to ensure consistent performance across both sides of the vehicle.
Track-Ready, Street-Friendly:
Thanks to their enhanced cooling and material resilience, these rotors perform exceptionally with OEM pads for road use. For dedicated track use, upgraded pad compounds are recommended, but MMR ensures full compatibility with a wide range of pad options.
