With the valves open, the exhaust bypasses the muffler resulting in less restriction and a much louder exhaust note
The VR Performance titanium exhaust only weighs 38.72 lbs which is nearly HALF the weight of your factory system. The 3-inch (76mm) diameter tubing throughout the exhaust significantly reduces backpressure. The muffler outlets are 2.5-inch (63.5mm) to allow for a slightly better tone than stock without being too loud.
