This comprehensive package includes both a performance intercooler and a charge pipe kit, offering substantial improvements in airflow, cooling, and overall reliability for high-performance applications.
At the heart of this upgrade is the Do88 Performance Intercooler, featuring a 97mm thick core manufactured by Garrett and capable of supporting up to 1000hp. This high-density, motorsport-grade Bar&Plate core is designed to reduce intake temperatures significantly, providing superior heat transfer and reducing pressure drop. With a cooling area that is 80% larger than OEM and a 118% larger core volume, the Do88 intercooler delivers an incredible 32°C lower intake air temperature under identical conditions compared to the OEM intercooler.
When paired with the charge pipe kit, the upgrade becomes even more effective. The kit includes both hot side and cold side pipes made from durable aluminum and cast aluminum, respectively, and optimized to handle higher airflows and boost pressures. The hot side pipe is a 70mm (2 ¾”) mandrel-bent aluminum pipe that eliminates the restrictive flat design of the OEM pipe, while the cold side charge pipe features an 86mm hose connection and a smooth, high-flow design. These pipes offer a 31% increase in airflow over OEM, ensuring optimal performance even under high boost.
In addition, the charge pipe kit includes reinforced, high-temperature hoses that can withstand extreme conditions. The hoses feature a stepped interior design to reduce turbulence and smooth air transition, enhancing performance. Two CNC-machined 1/8 NPT connections are included for easy integration with methanol injection or boost pressure sensors.
The chromoly crash beam in the kit is designed to avoid obstructing ambient airflow, making it ideal for track-focused builds. Though not formally crash-tested, this durable bar offers a perfect balance between performance and practicality.
