Active Autowerke is excited to unveil the GEN 2 EL midpipes, developed through rigorous research and collaboration with our manufacturing partners. This next-generation upgrade features newly engineered resonators designed to eliminate undesirable rasp while preserving the original exhaust volume. Additionally, the GEN 2 midpipes address the common "2k buzzing" issue and mitigate the cold start rattle found in factory systems.
Upgrade Program for Existing EL Midpipe Owners: To accommodate our current customers, we offer an exclusive upgrade program for original purchasers of the EL midpipes. Proof of purchase is required to participate. Under this program, you can return your original EL midpipe to Active Autowerke for an upgrade to the GEN 2 version.
- Return Process: Send your original EL midpipe to Active Autowerke for the upgrade. Shipping costs to and from our facility are the customer’s responsibility.
- Pre-Return Option: If you wish to receive the GEN 2 midpipe before returning your original, a refundable deposit of $1,000 is required. The deposit will be refunded once we receive the original midpipe.
- Shipping Costs: A fixed shipping fee of $90 applies within the 48 contiguous US states, covering both the delivery of the upgraded midpipe and the return of the original midpipe (a prepaid shipping label will be provided).
International Customers: For shipping rates outside the 48 contiguous US states, please contact Active Autowerke directly, as the $90 fixed price does not apply.
Recommendation for Aftermarket Downpipes: We recommend the resonated version of the GEN 2 midpipes for vehicles with aftermarket downpipes. Testing has been conducted with stock and Active downpipes, as well as stock and Active rear exhausts. The resonated GEN 2 midpipes use the same advanced resonators as the original GEN 1, providing consistent performance enhancements.
With stock downpipes, some minimal rasp may still be present, so opting for the resonated version could further improve your vehicle's exhaust sound.
