The Evolution Racewerks Sports Series High Flow Catted Downpipes feature a 200 cell metallic core, which allows exhaust gases to pass through more easily. This design maximizes flow, resulting in increased power, faster turbo spool up (reducing turbocharger lag), and improved throttle response. Compared to ceramic catalytic converters found in factory downpipes, metallic converters can withstand higher temperatures and offer increased durability. Additionally, the metallic core downpipes are lighter than their ceramic counterparts.
Exhaust flow restrictions can hinder performance, especially in turbocharged vehicles. The factory catalytic converter in the stock downpipe is a significant culprit of these restrictions. It is constructed with tiny "honeycomb" weaves that exhaust gases must pass through, causing a major flow restriction. Moreover, it creates turbulence after the catalytic converter, further impeding exhaust flow. Crafted from 100% 304 grade stainless steel, these downpipes are built to last. The mandrel bent piping ensures smooth airflow, while the TIG welding by skilled in-house fabricators guarantees superior quality welds. The downpipes feature a CNC machined 3.5" V-Band flange, precisely replicating the factory turbocharger turbine housing. Stainless steel CNC machined O2 sensor and laser-cut brackets are TIG welded to maintain optimum performance. The O2 sensor is positioned at the factory location, and the factory donut flange design is retained. With the 100% bolt-on design, installation is straightforward.

There are no compatibility issues whatsoever, allowing you to customize your vehicle's exhaust setup without any worries. By default, the downpipes come with a brushed finish, but you also have the option to choose ceramic thermal coating. This coating helps contain heat within the downpipes, resulting in lower underhood temperatures and reduced heat absorption by nearby parts and surfaces. Additionally, the ceramic coating improves exhaust flow velocities and provides added corrosion resistance. Our thermal coating can withstand temperatures up to 2000°F and is available in black, ensuring long-lasting performance.
