To achieve the first objective, we took full advantage of the limited space in the RS6 engine bay, meticulously redesigning the entire airbox. By maximizing volume, increasing flow entry openings, and optimizing the filter angle to the turbos, we have created an intake system that enhances airflow efficiency. Additionally, we significantly enlarged the size of the turbo inlets, increasing the cross-sectional area by up to 85% at the openings.
For the second objective of smooth airflow, we designed an organically shaped system with a custom rounded panel filter. This ensures that the airflow path contains no sharp corners, promoting laminar flow. By maintaining smooth transitions from the filter to the turbo inlets, our intake system minimizes turbulence formation, enabling the turbos to operate more efficiently.
To guarantee the highest quality filtration, we partnered with BMC to create a bespoke filter element. This filter element provides a large filtration area while keeping the airflow clean, maintaining the longevity and performance of your engine.
