At the heart of the BOSS MQB upgrade kit is a genuine Garrett Gen2 GTX turbocharger installed into a CTS proprietary exhaust housing. This carefully cast and machined housing is designed to be compatible with any exhaust downpipe, and the scroll area was specifically engineered to be approximately 0.63AR. This results in exceptional boost response and eliminates any potential restriction.
Unlike other manufacturers that simply install a larger turbo into a stock housing, we have taken things to the next level by developing our own proprietary exhaust housing. Our kit includes a custom wastegate solenoid bracket and oil/water lines to offer simple installation, easy tuning, and problem-free operation. We also provide custom molded silicon hoses to connect the turbo to your turbo outlet pipe and air intake.
While the BOSS turbo upgrade is currently only compatible with CTS Turbo intake, it is possible to make other intakes work with our kit. However, please note that we cannot provide guidance for installing other manufacturer's intakes. You can use a CTS Turbo or other billet diverter/blow-off valve, and the factory DV is compatible but requires a harness extension. Only OEM or CTS turbo outlet pipe is compatible at this time.

In addition to the turbo upgrade kit itself, we highly recommend using Pro-Line Turbocharger additive for the initial lubrication of new or replaced turbochargers to prevent damage due to oil starvation. The oil intake passage of the turbocharger is filled to the brim with Pro-Line Turbocharger Additive before the oil supply line is connected. Suitable for all turbochargers, this additive provides much-needed protection and allows proper break-in of new units to prevent additional repairs.
